DriverApp Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DriverApp accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when drivers, dispatch teams, owners, and other authorized users use the DriverApp mobile application and related support features.

Last updated: April 3, 2026

1. Scope and commitment

DriverApp is intended for logistics, dispatch, fleet, and job operations. We design the app to support legitimate operational use, respect user privacy, and align with applicable laws, platform rules, and community standards, including Google Play user data requirements.

This policy applies to the DriverApp app, the in-app disclosures shown before permission requests, and the related backend services used to authenticate users, store job records, upload job images, and support driver location sharing.

2. Information we collect

Account and authentication data Email address, name, CHE or driver identifier, account profile data, login token, and locally stored sign-in credentials used to keep the session active.
Job and operations data Container numbers, crane details, row location, weight, job type, notes, assigned job information, job status, timestamps, and related operations records entered or generated in the app.
Location data Precise location coordinates and accuracy data collected when users submit job actions and, if enabled, during live location sharing in the foreground or background.
Photos and OCR-derived text Images captured with the camera or selected from the photo library for job processing, plus text extracted from those images through OCR to prefill job fields.
Support and communications data Information users choose to provide in support chat or operational communications, plus technical event details needed to maintain real-time updates.
Local app storage Cached session data, queued offline jobs, active job state, assigned jobs cache, and user preferences such as location-sharing settings.

3. How we use information

4. Location data practices

DriverApp accesses precise location because location is a core operational feature of the app.

5. Camera, photos, and OCR

DriverApp may access the camera or photo library so users can capture or select job slip images. Those images may be uploaded to backend storage for job processing. Text may also be extracted from the image on-device using OCR to help fill in job details such as container number, crane, row location, size, or weight.

6. When and with whom we share data

We do not sell personal or sensitive user data. We share data only as needed to operate DriverApp for legitimate business and technical purposes.

7. Third-party services used by the app

Based on the current app implementation, DriverApp may rely on third party or hosted infrastructure for the following functions:

These providers may process personal or sensitive data on our behalf only to support DriverApp’s functionality.

8. Data retention

We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, support operational recordkeeping, troubleshoot problems, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

9. Data deletion and account requests

DriverApp is generally provided to users by an organization or fleet operator rather than through self-service public account creation. Requests to access, correct, export, or delete account-related data should be sent through the support mechanism below or to the organization that issued the user’s account credentials.

Users can remove locally stored session data from the app by signing out. Additional backend deletion may depend on legal or operational obligations of the organization controlling the account.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal and sensitive user data. Based on the current app implementation, data is transmitted over HTTPS-enabled network endpoints and access to app functions is tied to authenticated sessions. No security method can guarantee absolute protection, and users should also help protect their credentials and devices.

11. Children

DriverApp is not directed to children and is intended for authorized operational or business users. If you believe a child has provided personal information through DriverApp, contact us so we can review and address the issue.

12. International use

DriverApp services may be operated in multiple jurisdictions. By using the app, users understand that their information may be processed in countries other than the country where they are located, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards where required.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app, legal requirements, or operational practices. The updated version will be posted at the same policy URL with a revised “Last updated” date.
